Already one of the better recognized salon establishments in Greater Cleveland, owners at Mentor-based Ladies & Gentlemen Salon and Spa hope it soon will gain acclaim under the bright lights of a much larger Midwestern city.
Co-owner Ed Brown on Wednesday confirmed plans to open a Chicago location March 13 in the heart of the city’s theater district. It will be the first venture outside of Ohio for Brown and his wife, Nancy. There, Ladies & Gentlemen will be part of a massive development that also will include a new CBS studio, a membership gym, apartments and condominiums, and several high-end retailers like a flagship Puma store.
Brown seemed ecstatic on Wednesday to operate business in a location where one view will show him the artsy Millennium Park while another displays the former site of the original Marshall Field’s department store.
